A more meaningful way to teach with a case

Rather than give a traditional read-the-case-and-solve-it assignment in my recent finance course, I gave the students my own spreadsheet solution to a rather difficult cash-flow forecasting case. I then asked them to interpret my solution, analyze the case with it, and write a report to the company as if they were the consultant. It was a much more fulfilling and educational experience for my students. Continue reading
